It can be easily understood that Aries, Leo and Saggitarius form a triangle because Leo is 5th from Aries and Saggitarius is 5th from Leo. Similarly, there are 3 other triangles, i.e.

- Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn (2,6 & 10)
- Gemini, Libra & Aquarius (3,7 & 11)
- Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces (4,8 & 12).

Rules for reduction :

1. Deduct the least number from the number in the other two signs. Supposing, there are 2 dots in Aries, 4 dots in Leo and 6 dots in Saggitarius. Deduct 2 (the least number) from 2 (Aries), 2 from 4 (Leo) and 2 from 6 (Saggitarius). After reduction, it will come to 0 (Aries), 2 (Leo) and 4 (Saggitarius). This is to be done for all the triangles.

2. If there is no dot in a sign, it should be taken as zero. In this case there is no need of reduction. {Otherwise, deducting 0 (which is the least number) from all the 3 signs would be tantamount to same numbers}.

3. If there are same numbers in all the 3 signs, this should be taken as 0 for all the three signs. (Otherwise, deducting the same number from a number would tantamount to 0).
