TEMPORAL RELATIONSHIP AMONGST PLANETS

Apart from above, planets have temporal relationship amongst them, by virtue of their being posited in a particular house counted from a particular planet :

- Planets in II, III, IV, X, XI, XII houses are temporal friends.

- Planets in I, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX houses are temporal enemies.

For example, suppose we have to consider the temporal relationship between Jupiter and Sun. Jupiter is in Cancer and Sun is in Libra. That means, counted from Cancer (4)(where Jupiter is posited), Sun is in IVth, i.e. Libra (7). Hence, Sun is a temporal friend of Jupiter for this horoscope. The Temporary Friendship Table is summarised in a tabular form below :

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUN Mon, Jup, Sat Mar, Mer, Ven, Rah, Ket

RAH Mon Jup, Sat, Sun, Mar, Mer, Ven, Ket

From I and II above, we get to know the actual relationship of planets with regard to a particular horoscope in the following way:

III. Permanent + Temporary = Best Friend

Friend Friend

Permanent + Temporary = Neutral
Friend Enemy

Permanent + Temporary = Arch Enemy
Enemy Enemy

Permanent + Temporary = Neutral

This can be tabulated in a Five-Fold relationship (Panchadha Maitri Chakra) for a particular horoscope. This is categorised into 5 heads, as shown above (Best Friend, Bitter Enemy, Friend, Enemy, and Neutral); hence the name. This has to be worked on case-to-case basis, so that actual relationship among planets for a particular horoscope is known. The Five-Fold Relationship Table for the sample horoscope is shown below. Sample horoscope is for the following birth particulars, which will be used in the entire book as sample for different calculations and analysis.
